About Painted Raven events
I didn’t grow up with champagne toasts or fairy tale endings — but today, I design them through my business, Painted Raven Events.
I grew up in survival mode — navigating a childhood shaped by poverty, instability, and the absence of steady parental guidance. There were no carefully planned parties or special celebrations in my world. But even then, I longed to create beauty where there was none — to help people feel something I didn’t always get to feel myself: held, seen, celebrated.
I fought my way here. I was abandoned by my mother and emancipated at 16. I raised myself through teenage years most people get to explore freely. I worked hard — sometimes in silence, often while juggling motherhood, relationships, and relentless obstacles. But I learned early how to organize chaos, how to bring calm to a storm, and how to create structure where there was none.
My path here wasn’t linear.
Years ago, I walked beside my grandfather through hospice care. Supporting him through that final season taught me how sacred time really is — how every moment matters, especially the ones that bring people together. I carry that lesson into every event I plan. I know what it means to be entrusted with a memory that will never come again.
I also became a mother young. Today, I have three daughters — each strong, vibrant, and completely their own — who remind me daily why I continue to build. They’ve watched me pour myself into this dream, balancing late nights and weekend weddings while always making space for their wonder.
Before stepping into event planning, I spent nearly a decade working with individuals with special needs — learning how to meet people exactly where they are, how to listen beyond words, and how to advocate with patience and empathy. That experience still shapes the way I work today: with sensitivity, attentiveness, and heart.
I later pursued formal certification through IAP Career College to deepen my expertise and ensure I could bring both compassion and professionalism to every event I plan.
My business, Painted Raven Events, wasn’t born from privilege — it was born from vision, resilience, and heart. It’s for the people who deserve a moment that feels sacred. Who want someone they can trust to hold their day with care.
Maybe that’s why I love weddings so much. Not because they’re picture-perfect — but because I understand what it means to build something beautiful when you’ve had to fight for stability.
I built this business not just to plan weddings, but to create space for stories, for healing, and for joy — especially for those who’ve fought to find it.
I treat each celebration like it matters deeply — because it does. These aren’t just events. They’re milestones. Dreams realized. Promises honored.
They’re proof that beauty can bloom from even the toughest ground.

Kala Pierce-Dreczko
I'm Kala, the on-site Event Coordinator and Stylist at Angel and Anchor Farm in Oneco, CT! I’m known as the “Party Planner Mom” by all of my friends and family. I have so many bins filled with décor for every holiday, a ton of different birthday themes, game nights and more. (Not to mention, the “go all out” and “must have” group costumes to match it all) The food, the drinks, the desserts and music need to fit the theme. I am honored when someone hire's me for an event because of the trust clients have with my abilities, it's priceless! As a person with a giving personality, I want to give you the best experience when styling and coordinating your special event! I'm a mother to my three daughters, a PCA for almost 10 years, and a 2025 Bride-to-Be. Outside of that I'm an all around art creator/enthusiast! I've dedicated my life to my children and now I get to put my dream career in action. I faced adversity in my childhood, but I remember the excitement of Christmas and planning for big events. Now as an adult with children of my own, I want them to experience the love I found for celebrations like birthdays and special occasions. My Birthday Parties for my kids are just as detailed as my coordinating gigs. If you know me, you’ve seen my annual adult Halloween parties, Murder Mysteries and over-the-top themed Game Nights. With my experience in party planning and event styling, be reassured that your event is going to be a sight to see! -Kala Piece Coordinator and Stylist
